Supercar driver successfully appeals disqualification
Another great result as we were successful in appealing a disqualification imposed on a Supercar driver that was stopped by the police for not displaying a valid number plate. The case was unfairly pursued by the police and resulted in a disqualification. We were able to successfully appeal the police actions and the client was acquitted.
New Guidance for Taxi Drivers
At JTS we have revised our guidance to taxi drivers following the impact of Covid-19. In particular we are aware that many licensing automates have sought to conduct licensing interviews and committees remotely and without the benefit of full legal representation. If you have been contacted for such an interview then contact us on 0800 002 9705 for free initial advice on the legality of this new process.
TFL Fare Evasion Guidance Update
At JTS we have updated our guidance on defending clients against TFL prosecutions as a result of the impact of Covid-19. Guidance has been provided by the government to all prosecuting authorities including TFL that they should carefully consider whether it is in the interests of just to proceed with a prosecution in the current environment. We have ulilized this guidance to seek to persuade TFL to reach an out of Court Settlement with many of our clients. If you need help in avoiding a criminal conviction contact us now
